Morris Memorial Park  |  802 N. Ave. C

Morris Memorial Park is a neighborhood park completed in 1996 using a $450,000 Texas Parks and Wildlife grant and community fundraising efforts. Morris Memorial Park covers 10 acres and includes the former Fleming Hospital (1938), now Fleming Community Center.

In 1990, the City of Elgin received funds for a reimbursement grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife to develop a park complete with swimming pool, fish pond, basketball court, playground, hike and bike trail. A grant from the Meadows foundation was instrumental in the success of this project. Complete with picnic tables and benches, this park is a great place to bring the family and picnic.

In a typical year Morris Memorial Pool conducts swimming lessons for adults and children, water aerobics, lap swimming, day care swim days and pool parties. To learn more about Morris Memorial Pool click here
