Elgin assists economic growth and development!
The City of Elgin has anticipated economic growth and develo
pment for some time. It is ready to help business leaders with their projects through the benefits of a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ). Governed by Chapter 311 of the Texas Tax Code, A TIRZ is the proposed vehicle to capture new growth and development of the tax base within its boundaries and dedicate a portion of those new revenues for needed infrastructure and public projects.
